The CareerRiz Scholarship Program (“Program”) is administered by CareerRiz, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Submission of an application constitutes acceptance of the terms outlined herein. CareerRiz reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time without prior notice, subject to applicable laws and regulations.

1. Non-Guarantee of Award

Submission of an application does not guarantee selection, funding, or continued participation. Scholarships are limited, competitive, and awarded based on CareerRiz’s objective scoring system, organizational priorities, and available funding.

2. No Legal Right or Entitlement

Applicants acknowledge that they are not legally entitled to a scholarship, financial award, training opportunity, or any form of benefit. All decisions are discretionary and made solely by CareerRiz.

3. Non-Discrimination Statement

CareerRiz does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status, or any other class protected under law. Selection is based solely on objective workforce-alignment criteria:

  • Employment status

  • Upskilling pursuit

  • Education level

  • Career-shift readiness

  • Workforce demand in target career fields

  • Alignment with workforce development priorities

4. Applicant Data Use & Consent

By applying, the applicant consents to:

  • The collection, review, and storage of application data

  • The use of anonymized data for grant reporting and workforce impact measurement

  • Communication regarding scholarship status, career support, and training pathways

CareerRiz will not sell, lease, or commercially distribute applicant information.

5. Verification of Applicant Information

CareerRiz reserves the right to:

  • Verify any information provided in the application

  • Request supporting documents

  • Conduct eligibility checks

  • Disqualify applicants who provide false, incomplete, or misleading information

6. Award Modifications & Revocation

CareerRiz may rescind or modify an award if:

  • The applicant is found ineligible

  • Misrepresentation or fraud is identified

  • The applicant fails to comply with Program requirements

  • Program funding changes due to grantor requirements

7. Alignment With Workforce Priorities

CareerRiz prioritizes applicants pursuing training in high-demand sectors, including:

  • Blue-collar skilled trades

  • Construction

  • Healthcare & allied health

  • AI, tech, software, cybersecurity

  • Logistics & infrastructure-support roles

8. Reliance on Objective Scoring

CareerRiz uses a fully objective scoring model. Applicants acknowledge that:

  • Scoring criteria are proprietary to CareerRiz

  • Decisions are final

  • Staff or reviewers may not justify individual scoring results

9. Limitation of Liability

CareerRiz shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of opportunity

  • Missed deadlines

  • Failure to receive communications

  • Applicant expenses during application or training

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

10. Compliance With Grantor Requirements

CareerRiz may adjust eligibility criteria, reporting processes, or award amounts to comply with:

  • Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

  • Department of Labor (DOL) mandates

  • Federal, state, or local grant conditions

  • Private foundation or corporate philanthropy requirements

11. No Employer-Employee Relationship

Receipt of a scholarship or participation in CareerRiz training does not create an employer-employee, contractor, or agent relationship with CareerRiz.

12. Governing Law

This Program shall be governed by the laws of the state in which CareerRiz is headquartered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
